The STEM committee invites you to consider how skin and hair can be so many different colors. Skin color can vary on different parts of your body like the inside and outside of your arm and this is due to different combinations of melanins, molecules that your body makes that protect skin from sunlight. Explore how one color can be made up of many different colors using a coffee filter, your favorite markers, and a little bit of water. We look forward to hearing about what you discover!
