Did you know that the Hillcrest PTA has a Special Education Liaison? If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Special Education process for Baltimore County in general, or Hillcrest Elementary in particular, feel free to reach out!  

To learn more about the resources available to parents of children with IEPs or 504 plans, take a quick tour of the Special Education Resource Center, below, or sign up for Hand in Hand, a joint publication of the Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee (SECAC) and the Baltimore County Public Schools’ Special Education Resource Center. Its purpose is to provide families and staff with information related to children with disabilities.

And to learn about the Baltimore County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC), an organization that has provided a forum for issues pertaining to children with disabilities since 1978, check them out online. Members of SECAC advocate at the county, state and federal level to make recommendations and assist Baltimore County Public Schools about issues including the education budget, inclusion, assessments, support services and other issues concerning children and special education services.
