Assemblies Sponsored by the PTA

Classical Hip Hop AssemblyIt is a wonderful gift that today our children attend school with children that are much different than they are. The Cultural Committee would like to present assemblies taking a proactive approach to diversity in the Hillcrest Community.

Through music, dance, and language, we can get a snapshot of different cultures to help our children respect and understand how we are all different and how we are all the same.

Around the World at Hillcrest – Celebrating Who We Are!

Each of our assemblies play a significant educational element in our Common Core Curriculum and in the classroom through foreign language, language arts, social studies, and science.

Traditional elements of hip-hop such as human beatbox, rhyming and storytelling are blended with classical compositions of composers like Bach, Vivaldi and Pachelbel.
