This month, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is going to try something different.
Did you know that we have a website designed to inform and support the Hillcrest community? We post fairly regularly, with an emphasis on bringing attention to ways we can call out inequity in our school and community, as well as how we can try to support vulnerable members of our community.
In March, we’d like you to become more acquainted with our site. We’ve developed a virtual scavenger hunt, and each week we’ll ask a question that can be answered by visiting us online. You can search for answers as soon as the questions are asked, or wait until the end of the month and find them all at once.
At the end of March we ask that you send a single email message with ALL the answers to hesequity@gmail.com. One winner will be selected at random to receive a gift certificate from Better World Imaginarium, right here in downtown Catonsville.
Better World Imaginarium believes that the “world will be delivered to children through toys, books, education, and community engagement.” With that in mind, BWI has created a child-centric environment and encourages visitors young and old to touch, play, and explore. Visit them to browse their diverse, unique inventory.
