Know where your knowledge is coming from!

Part of working toward equity is dismantling implicit biases. Did you know that there’s a good chance you might not even realize the news you consume is building biases? We have more news sources now than ever before, but they’re not all created equally. Some report the news, other editorialize the news, and still others report whatever they want in spite of the news.

Take a look at the chart below to see where your favorite sources fall. Bias exists on both sides of the spectrum (left to right on the chart) and most people are at least somewhat aware of that element of news bias; the more important element, as shown below, is how many sources skew toward propaganda.
